WIDAC welcomes new Victorian General Manager from the Lyons studio.

The national networking and knowledge-sharing group Women in Design and Construction (WIDAC) recently appointed Lyons Project Architect Natalie Rushidi as the new General Manager to their Victorian Committee.

This new role sees Natalie take a leadership position within an inclusive network of leading women in the construction and design industry and, in tandem, share her 10 years of knowledge and experience delivering complex public projects.

“WIDAC is an organisation that supports women within the construction industry by connecting them through networking, workshops and education events in an informal, genuine and supportive way,” says Natalie Rushidi

“I was thrilled to join the team because WIDAC has such a focus of bringing women together and providing a strong supportive community, while also teaching them skills that have a positive impact on themselves and their chosen career paths. It’s something I am passionate about and I’m proud to be in a position that I can encourage connecting and supporting our network across all sectors of the construction industry, and women at all stages of their careers.”

WIDAC currently hosts events, meet-ups and mentorship in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. These events are designed to encourage active participation around topics impacting the industry—from sustainability and acoustics to closing the gender pay gap.
